Eyrie Twilight

Ecdysiast Eyrie Twilight has been showing off her signature shake since the spring of 2009. Since graduating from the Sugar Shack Burlesque inaugural class in Richmond, VA, Eyrie has taken her show on the road performing the art of the tease in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and of course the District of Columbia. In 2010 the Queen of Halloween joined forces with Mourna Handful to form Black Tassel Boolesque, the areas first and only goth burlesque group.  Her style has been described as “a spooky twist on classic striptease” and is noted for her luxe, opulent costuming. In addition to her troupe endeavors, Eyrie produces “Beauty + Brains” a monthly showcase of her favorite burlesque, belly dance and sideshow acts at The Raven Lounge. She is also a member of the amazing EDM gogo troupe Electrocute! If you get the chance, be sure to catch miss Eyrie Twilight, the goth gal with a shimmy which must be seen to be believed. You’ll be glad you did.

Valeria Voxx

Valeria Voxx is a member of Black Tassel Boolesque, the
mid-Atlantic region’s only spooky burlesque troupe.
She’s the fiery red head that gets your soul all “hot and bothered”.

This second generation sideshow vixen is a graduate of Miskatonic
University where she majored in Spells, Hexes, and Interior Design.
You better believe that she will use her charms, and incantations to
rearrange more than your furniture!  Fortunately for us all, she has
decided to use her naughty talents for “good” or “good at it”  as she
beguiles and entrances her audiences from the stage.

As a member of Black Tassel Boolesque, she has performed in her native
Baltimore at The Windup Space, Ottobar, and Club Orpheus as well as
DC’s Celebrated Red Palace and in Pennsylvania at the Jim Thorpe
Burlesque Festival.

She has also performed solo work as part of The Baltimore Birdcage,
Baltimore Tattoo Festival, and Capital Tassels and Tease.  She’s also
had the privilege to work with such musical artists as Hellblinki, The
Clockwork Dolls, and had the great pleasure to be the media host of
Katsucon 2010.

Mourna Handful

Mourna Handful, a handful in more ways than two, is a co-founder of Black Tassel Boolesque. She got her start as a student in Trixie Little’s Burlesque Bootcamp and, since then, has performed from Richmond to Philadelphia and with such musical acts as Voltaire, Hellblinki, and This Way to the Egress. Mourna specializes in neo-burlesque, fusing character and narration. When you see this buxom beauty on stage, be prepared to be whisked away to a storyland in another time and another place, and where the inhabitants are slightly naked.
